Chile's state oil company Enap has sufficient fuel supply to last through March despite having to shut its Aconcagua and Bío Bío refineries after last week's 8.8 magnitude earthquake, mining minister Santiago González was quoted as saying in local press.

Chilean authorities are coordinating actions with private firms to evaluate damage and restore normal services as soon as possible, the public works minister (MOP) Sergio Bitar said at a press conference.

Chilean ports were badly damaged by the magnitude 8.8 earthquake that struck the country's central-southern area on February 27, affecting the country's relief efforts as well as industrial activities, an official from the interior ministry told BNamericas.
